He Could’ve Died That Night. He Didn’t.

Hello Friends,

Cameron’s story ain’t polished. It’s not clean. But it’s real.

He showed up in Denver nearly 15 years ago—young, hurt, running from a brutal childhood. It didn’t take long for the streets to get a grip on him. That’s when Scotty (rest in peace) brought him through our doors. That was his first encounter with Sox Place.

It wasn’t the last.

Cameron’s been in and out of prison, back and forth from survival to rock bottom. But when it was freezing outside, he knew where he could sit down and not die. He knew where he could find someone who gave a crap. When his foot got infected after his last release, we patched him up and helped him walk again—literally and spiritually.

That’s what this place does. We help people stay alive long enough to believe something better is possible.

Today, he’s back in prison to finish the remainder of his sentence. We miss him and looking forward to him getting out soon.
