This morning, a guy walked in I hadn’t seen in over five years. At first, I didn’t even recognize him. He shouted my name, “Hey Jordan!”—and suddenly it clicked. He looked different. Healthier. Brighter. Not just alive, but thriving.

Now, I’ll be honest with you…

When someone disappears for that long, especially from the streets, your heart braces for the worst. Usually it means they’re either dead or locked up. But today? He was standing right in front of me, smiling, doing better than when we last saw him.

That’s the wild, gritty, beautiful part of this place. We get to plant seeds in people’s lives—and sometimes years later, those seeds bloom. They come back just to say: “Thanks for being part of the journey.”

That’s why Sox Place matters. Because on the streets, every meal, every moment of dignity, every safe conversation—it all adds up. It can change everything.
