Not Just Another Statistic: Meet Justin

Sox Family Interview With Justin

Hello Friends,

Justin showed up in downtown Denver four years ago chasing a second shot at life. Like so many others who come through our doors, he wasn’t looking for a handout—just a place to breathe, to regroup, to remember he still mattered.

He found Sox Place.

What started as a drop-in to pass the time turned into something deeper. Justin started helping out, giving back before he even had anything to give. That’s how it works around here—when you step into the chaos, you find yourself stepping into a family.

We saw him through winter nights and anxious days. Shared meals. Shared stories. Shared hope.

They say street kids don’t make it. Justin’s living proof they do.

This place didn’t just warm his body. It gave him tools. Coping skills. Confidence. A shot at life that didn’t feel like a fight to survive, but a chance to build.

And now? Justin’s not just a visitor. He’s part of the heartbeat here. A story still being written. A quiet, steady reminder that healing doesn't always come in loud moments—it comes in staying close, showing up, and choosing love anyway.

Welcome home, Justin. You’re Sox Family now.

With gratitude,
Jordan Robinson
