Sometimes you wanna go...

Sox Family Interview with the prolific Beans

Dear Friends,

There’s a guy named Beans who’s been part of the Sox Place story for a long time.

He showed up when he was just 14—trying to stay out of trouble, and found us while hanging around downtown Denver.

Beans would come around, sit, talk, eat, stay off the streets for a few hours. And then he kept coming back. And over the years, we’ve been able to help him in more ways than one: getting his ID, filling out paperwork, finding job leads, staying fed and clothed, feeling seen. Not just once. Again and again.

Now Beans is an adult. And he still walks through our doors.

Why?

To him, this place isn’t just a drop-in center. It’s home.

That’s what you’ve helped create—a place where street kids and young adults know they’re not alone. A place where they’re welcomed with no judgment, no red tape, no sermons. Just love.

Beans said it best: “I’m very grateful for all of you.”

With gratitude,

Jordan Robinson
